" The Neighbor's
Grass is Always Greener... "
Undeniably is a time tested
truth of a statement.
It was a fine morning, the
sun shining bright.
A brisk westerly wind was
blowing away the valley smog offshore.
The neighborhood's resident
Squirrel Couple were playfully moving from tree to tree through the overhead
electric cable freeways
skillfully avoiding 10,000 volts of fatal bare wire sections. While the
birds were joyfully
hopping on the ground pecking
on breakfasts of discarded french fries, seeds, and aluminum can lift rings,
- we posed on the neighbor's
frontyard and took these video shots.
How could we resist? The
Grass was green, well trimmed, and inviting.
The flowers on the boxes
were blooming in brilliant hues of pastel colors beckoning us both to come
near. . .
It's NOT just another morning
in California. It is THE MORNING that My Sister and I are both together
again,
after a long, long absence.
It is a Great Day without question, needing to spend it in Happy Celebration.
It has to be, and it must
be, as we hadn't seen each other for Ten Long Years!
So off we go for a day of
visit to Universal Studios.
Tomorrow we'll be at Rodeo
Drive.
Life is short, time is fleeting,
and Today will soon be gone.
In our lifetime we may never
see this kind of day together, again.
The future holds no solemn
promise of another bright and sunny day.
And even if it does, with
the birds flying, the blooms swaying,
- would it be Beautiful
again just like today?
If My Beloved Sister is
NOT Here to Spend that Special Day with Me?
